The location of this hotel is amazing, just a 5-minute walk to the Egyptian Museum and surrounded by lots of places to go out at night. It's great being right in the center, close to Tahrir Square. The staff at this hotel is incredible. They are friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with organizing tours and providing valuable recommendations. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with basic amenities like air conditioning and a fridge, which is a nice addition. The old-world details, such as Spanish balconies and high ceilings, add charm to the hotel. The breakfast provided at this hotel is decent. While it may not be anything special, considering the price, you can't really expect much more.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in downtown Egypt. The staff was absolutely incredible - so friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help organize tours and even allowed us to shower at the hotel while we waited for our train. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a huge bathroom that was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast included was basic but satisfying, and a great way to start the day. The location was also great, with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. Additionally, the hotel offered free airport pick-up, which was extremely helpful.

All in all, everything was perfect during my stay.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is great - 25 minutes walk to Cairo train station and 5 minutes walk to Tahrir Square and the Egyptian museum. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hostel is really good value for money. It's on the fifth floor but there is an elevator. I would recommend getting a room with your own bathroom though. Really pleasant stay overall with very friendly and helpful staff. When I return to Cairo I will go back to the Meramees. Also, wifi in all rooms including bedrooms!!

The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise and really delicious. the staff were kind and guided us with many things. the location was perfect for exploring the city, close to the main attractions and within walking distance to the metro station.

The building was old and gloomy, and the neighborhood was a little scary. the bedding elements were not clean and too old.

It is very difficult to spot. There is only a small sign indicating where it is and it was always a problem finding it by taxi. Also, the hotel is on the 6th floor.

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel in the heart of a bustling city. The value for money was outstanding, with prices that were affordable and truly worth every penny. The attention to detail was evident throughout my stay, from the friendly and attentive staff to the basic amenities provided. The location in downtown was perfect, with easy access to various attractions and amenities. The rooms, whether with shared bathroom or private, were comfortable and clean, exactly as depicted in the nice pictures on the internet. And to top it all off, the breakfast served at the front desk was delicious and included in the price.

I have just returned from a business trip where I stayed at an affordable hostel in an ancient building in the heart of the city. Thanks to its 24-hour reception, I was able to check-in at 2am which was very useful. I also appreciated the friendly staff who offered suggestions on the best local restaurants around. The key location to the bustling downtown meant that I could easily access the various business centers around.

The area around the hostel was a bit noisy at night, but as it is located in the heart of the city, this was somewhat expected. Nevertheless, I would still recommend it for those on a budget, and it is ideal for both long and short stays.
